The Future of the Internet and Its Governance

As a technology company, we are committed not only to delivering high-quality enterprise-grade solutions but also to actively contributing to the evolving technology landscape. It’s no surprise that the Internet sits at the core of almost every new technological advancement today. The necessity of Internet technology is undeniable, and so is the importance of establishing a robust governance framework to ensure its sustainability, security, and accessibility.

Our Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Bram Fudzulani, a leading voice in Malawi’s Internet Governance Forum, recently joined global experts at the 19th Annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) held from December 15 to 19, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The forum brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to shape the future of Internet governance and digital policy.

Key Focus Areas of the 19th IGF

The discussions at this year’s IGF centered around critical issues shaping the global digital ecosystem, including:

  • Advocating for an open, globally connected, and trustworthy Internet while addressing the risks of Internet fragmentation.
  • Showcasing the impactful work of the global Internet Society community.
  • Equipping a new generation of Internet leaders with the knowledge and skills to defend and advance the future of the Internet.
  • Supporting the IGF’s multistakeholder model within the broader Global Digital Compact process in preparation for WSIS+20.

Empowering the Next Generation: Our Youth Ambassador Program

During the event, Mr. Fudzulani participated in an exclusive interview with a media team from Russia, where he shared insights on youth participation in Internet policy development and the future of digital governance. His contributions underscored the critical role young people play in shaping the policies that will define the Internet’s future.
